Write about it!

Write about your interests and how they started. Try to use the expressions we have learnt in class.

I really got into cars a few months ago. It started when I decided that it was high time for me to buy a car. I saved up some money and guess what ... I bought a second-hand car !!! The nice thing about it is, I don't depend on buses and timetables any more. For me, time is important.

  1. Dear Sophie, I´m sure you will become a very good driver, as good as Alonso, for example.
    See you soon

  2. Congratulations, since then you are able to enjoy driving instead of travelling by bus (I've heard they're very lazy and they spend many time in taking you from one place to another.

  3. I really like reading books, all kind of books. I think that my hobby began with my parents. They like reading too and bought me a lot of fantasy and science-fiction books when I was starting to read.
Now I don´t have as enough time as I would like, but I read when I can. Actually, the last summer, I finally bought an electronic book and now I can read whatever book I want without spending too much money.

I'd like to write about one of my interests, the protection of nature.
I think at the beginning of 21st Century we live in an increasingly threatened planet from the unsustainable consumption of its natural resources. And I beleive all of us are guilty and responsible. Our daily activities are destroying habitats, using up non-renewable resources, accumulating waste and polluting the atmosphere.
The planet's capacity to sustain life is being put in risk due to the climate change and the global warming, so, as citizens, we have responsabilities and we must to act.

I think the most important thing to solve this global risk is the enviromental education, so I'd like to share with you an interesting video about how we can save the planet throught the education. Such an example of sustainability. A good place to work within.

We can also practice our listening skills. Subtitles and transcripts are avalaibles in English and in Spanish, so don't worry.
    I hope you'll enjoy it.
See you soon. And remember, think global, act local.

  5. Thanks for blogging and contributing with this interesting posting. Think big and do it with class!!!
